Hello! Sorry to post this so late this week - but better late than never, yes?
My parents were here for a wonderful visit, so I did a page on that - it was fun capturing the moments so I can look back when I miss them and wish they were closer. I finished this spread with a page (the right) on nurture vs nature - since I, for the first time, saw so many similarities in gestures, connotation, mannerisms, etc with my parents. My dear friend Alison Larkin recently told me, "We're neither nature or nurture entirely - so much of who we are and who we choose to become is up to us." and this was fresh in my mind and it prompted me to look at who I am and who I came from, and what I made of it. And, surprisingly, I was pleased with what I saw.

The next spread was fun... the right was done first, while I was at Amy's for our crafty get together last week, which you can read more about here. I had the left side in my mind for a few days before creating it. I am so excited about my upcoming wedding, i wanted to capture what I was feeling about marrying my best friend and becoming a wife. Just looking at the page makes my heart flutter in anticipation.

The last spread jumps out of order again. the left side was also done at the craft get together last week. Lia (aka Art Junk Girl) and I each started pages in one another's journals for the other to finish. She drew one of her wonderful girls, and wrote sink or swim (love that) and I colored her, and created the rest of the page around her. It was so much fun doing that with her. We are going to have a full journaling day together soon. You can also see the page I started for her in her small moles king that she added to here (I just had to add a coffee filter to it!).
On the right is a quick page from the flea marketing day I had recently, which also can be read about here (and you can see some of the treasures I got). What a fun (looooong) day! The page is kinda lame and does not capture what a great time I had.

As you can see - I am still addicted to coffee filters - 4 out the six pages I have shown utilize them in some way. And, here is my helper photo of the week. What a great pup Tuala is always wanting to be involved with the photographing of the pages.

Lastly, for those of you who read my blog through an RSS reader - I have a new look - so come see and let me know what you think!

And that's a wrap! See you soon...

Love the new look! It's so soft and pretty! I love this week's journaling pages also!

Hi Hope,
Your journalling is, once again, causing me to be envious. I love how you and Lia started pages for one another...what a great idea. I haven't read her blog for a while now; it must be time to return.
