December 21 – Future Self.
Imagine yourself five years from now. What advice would you give your current self for the year ahead? (Bonus: Write a note to yourself 10 years ago. What would you tell your younger self?) (Author: Jenny Blake)
I was feeling under the weather (with a horrid cold) and so I did not embellish this page too much - but the prompt was fun, very similar to one of the prompts used in a journaling e-course of mine but with a slightly different twist.
What would I tell my self now, five years from now (if that makes sense) is to do whatever I need to be happy - stay young at heart, and follow that same heart.
December 22 - Travel
How did you travel in 2010? How and/or where would you like to travel next year? (Author: Tara Hunt)
Here is my day page with the back of the 21st journaling (what I would tell my younger self):
For this topic, I used a glassine envelope and put in some ephemera and photos from some trips I took this past year. I wrote about the places I had been, what brought me there and what I thought of them. For the journaling I wrote on a piece of hotel brochure.
Here is a close up of the envelope of souvenirs and some of the things in it - each has a hole with some twine attached so they can be easily pulled out:
