I, like many out there, have an obsession with vintage dennison labels. My obsession actually runs to all vintage office supplies, paper, rulers, labels, boxes of clips, etc. Below is a photo of some of my favourite labels:
I was looking at my labels recently and realized there is no way I would ever be able to use all that I have... so I thought it would be fun to put together little collections of them to sell. I wanted to do something fun with them though. While I was sorting out my stash, I realized I had quote a few empty dennison boxes, ones that held thumbtacks, rubber bands, mending tape, etc. They are cute little boxes, about 2 1/2 by 1 1/2 inches that slide open, the same as a lot of the label boxes you see out there.
Then I thought - why not make these be cute label boxes to hold the collections I put together? So that is what I did. I used my favourite go to supplies (old paper, pretty tape, antique fashion image and a real vintage dennison label) and created these sets of vintage gummed dennison labels. They all are very similar, but, as with the nature of most handmade things, the hand lettering and placement of images may vary from box to box
Inside are 25 vintage labels, all Dennison. 22 are red bordered (including a rare tiny oval), 1 is a rare gold label, and the last 2 are an enclosure label and a large silver foil star.
I have listed them in my etsy shop so I can keep the shipping costs low (everything in the paper relics shop ships via priority mail, but these can ship first class).
If you are interested in one, take a peek HERE to purchase, they are a limited edition of 12.
