Since I have been really into Instagram this past year, I thought it might be fun to capture that by choosing one photo from each month and making a journal.
Here is my cover - I actually used a journal that I purchased online and was not happy with the paper or binding quality - but loved the covers. So I cut them down to size. The photos are 5x5 so I made the covers about 6x6.

On the inside cover, I wrote out the locations of each photo...

For the pages, I used your run of the mill page protectors...

and I used my sewing machine to sew the photos into them...

making sure that I kept enough room in the middle to stitch the pages into the covers...

I laid it out first, before sewing, to make sure I got the photos into the correct order.

Then on the inside back cover, I wrote out the months and a short description of each photograph.

Viola! My year in 12 photos - a great keepsake from a great year.

love your little album! does anyone make 5x5 page protectors? Or did you cut yours down from some other size and sew them up the sides? Also did you print 5x5 photos at home--it seems hard to find someone to print odd sizes??? Thanks!

Is there a tutorial anywhere about how to stitch together the journal you made? I would love to make my own but I don't know how! Thanks!
