Remember the souvenir journal I made for my upcoming California trip that I shared (HERE) with you a while back?
Well, now I want to show you what I did inside for pages. One of the best parts of using a ringed journal for a travel journal is I can add just about anything pretty easily. However I do need to have some pages ready to use, and I came up with quite an assortment. I will not necessarily use them in the order they are in the journal now, but they are as follows:
I used a kraft envelope - you never know when you will need to tuck treasures inside your journal and envelopes like this are perfect. I also added some clear page sleeves from the new Martha/Avery line at Staples - I cut them in half and the holes lined up perfectly. These pages will be great to slip in instax photos . You can also see beneath the clear pages that I added some quickly painted watercolor paper cut it down to size - it is nice a sturdy to hold heavier bits I may collect, and I can use my copics on it without too much bleeding through.
A glassine envelope (reinforced with pretty tape) and a another envelope, this one from a Breakfast at Tiffany's stationery set that sweet Grace gave me (I am attending a Breakfast at Tiffany's inspired event so I thought it fitting).
And lastly, some kraft paper cut down to size - I love writing on kraft paper, this is some I picked up at Staples in their stationery section (they sell letter sized sheets):
Oh, and I never showed you the back - here it is, I used ads from a 1800s newspaper:
Next time you see it it will be filled with memories and ephemera!
