I recently posted the above photo on Instagram showing the three journals I am currently working in on a regular basis. I thought it would be fun to give you a peek into each - as part of a three part series.

Today I am going to share the top left one, my daily journal. My daily journal is one I started to do last year but only lasted a month or two into the year. For 2012, I decided to make a commitment and hold to it. I purchased a daily diary, it is one that has the week on one side and a blank page on the other (moleskine makes a similar styled one which you can see by clicking here ).
I am happy to report that I have been faithful to my daily dairy and carry it where ever I go, adding my days musings, events, ideas, etc when I can. I love looking back through it. Looking back over the moments of my year large and small.
Out of all my journals, this one is the most personal, so to share peeks of it, I am using all photos taken with my phone and edited in vintage style.
As you can see (above), I record daily events on the left, and write or past snippets I come across on the right.
Some days have nothing interesting - other days I add bits of ephemra to.
This photo (above) came out blurry, but I wanted to show how I past clippings from magazines that inspire me, or that I want to reread again and again.
Other days I do a lot of wriritng, how I am feeling and quotes.
So that is the last of my three journals... the ironic thing is, after all of this I came to a realization that I love using moleskine cahier (or similar styled) notebooks for journaling, and have started yet a fourth jounral in that vein. I promise to share soon, it is filling up so quickly!

I keep several different journals too. I thought I was the only one. Sometimes I can't keep up but that's ok. I do keep up with my daily journal and have for the past 4 years. I love how you put your special touch to each page. I'm going to have to try to take time to do this. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Hope - I was wondering how you add the handwritten elements to the photos on your blog? Is this a particular app or program? Thank you!!!

I love to take peaks at your journals. They are always so creative. Your sharing gives me ideas for my own journals. Thanks for that!
