How is your December Daily Reverb 2012 coming along? I have been doing mine, but have not had time to photograph and blog daily. Here my days 6 - 11
December 6 - What was your favourite gift given and/or received in 2011?
Who was the recipient, who was the giver? What was it for (an event, holiday or just because)? Was the gift tangible or something else (i.e. support in a hard situation or laughter when it was most needed)?
This counts as a gift received AND given... for Valentine's day this year, my husband and I decided that instead of getting one another gifts that we would purchase an iMac. We are both still very happy with the purchase!
December 7 - What was your funniest story from 2011?
This is a great prompt to have some fun with! Think of a funny story you were involved in, heard of, saw happen, etc. Describe what happened - is there any back story to it? What were the circumstances? Do you still chuckle when you think about it now?
Our puppy, well, she is a bit over 1 now, Millie, is always doing something funny. One day we were heading to brunch and put her in her crate as usual. I remember being at the restaurant, and saying to Mike, "This is the longest we have ever been here." - so we were gone for a few hours (we did a couple errands after). When we came home - Millie was on the couch by the door all excited to see us! I must not have latched the crate. It was quite the surprise! I am happy to report that she was a good girl, and has not been created since.
December 8 - What was the quote or saying that most resonated with you this past year?
Was there any quote, mantra or saying that really spoke to you? Helped you through something? Made you smile?
The quote I chose was:
"For things to reveal themselves to us, we need to be ready to abandon our views about them." - Thich Nhat Hahn in Being Peace .
I chose it because this year I have been focusing a lot on perspective, mine and others and it has really shaped a lot of the growth I have done in 2012.

December 9 - Was there anything you were feeling nostalgic for in 2011?
Anything that you were feeling nostalgic for? Something you were yearning for from your past? A memory that wouldn't leave you, or tradition that you wish you could continue?
When I was thinking about this question, my husband chimed in "Family" right away - and he was right... so that was what I wrote about for this prompt. I added a photo of my parents I took when they were visiting over the fall.
December 10 - 10 things you were thankful for in 2011?
Another list prompt! Big or small - list out (at least) 10 things you were thankful for.
I love list prompts! My 10-page is made from an envelope from Anthropologie that my packing slip came in when I placed an order - so I used the inside and backside to list out my 10 things.
December 11 - Did you form any new, or strengthen any existing, relationships in 2011?
With who? How did you go about it? If you didn't, why not? Was something holding you back? Was there someone you wish you strengthened your relationship with?
I wrote about 2 friends I had chances to strength my relationships with this year, and added reflection photos I had taken with each of them.
