A while back I posted about an art journal filofax swap I was doing - and I have finally finished it and will start sharing it with you! I will be posting a total of 4 posts about it since there is so much to share! I have broken my posts down into sections, based off sections in the actual filofax. Michelle is all about red, vintage office supplies, airmail and old papers like receipts. So that is what I focused on for filling this filofax for her.
First up: Opener & Quotes. As you can see (above) when I unsnap the closure band, the filofax expands - I seriously do not think I could fit another bit inside without the strap breaking! There were two pen slots, so I filled them both, once with an old pen, and the other with a vintage pencil.
The pockets on the inside cover (top left) are filled with new and vintage bits and bobs, papers, stickers, a little notebook, etc. I am using a vintage filofax that said "real calf leather" under the logo. Since Michelle is vegetarian (she does wear leather) I thought I would cover the "real calf leather" with a vintage label maker tag in her fave color red saying "behold". Note: Her blog is HOLD dear, and mine is BEsottment - so when we collaborate on things we call them BEHOLD.
The first section I made is for quotes...
I added some fun things, like a print of mine (above) and quotes from other sources (below):
Here is a peek up close:
Of course I had to hand letter a few as well:
The next section really is just a tab and some page - but I used a vintage divider marked "addresses" that I cut down to size:
I added some modern day address pages that have postal cancellations illustrations on them. I thought she would enjoy that. I plan to write my address on it before giving it to her:
I used an empty gummed label box and made it into a page where I wrote "Michelle's filofax" and the year:
Here is the last page in this section:
My next post will be about the Miscellany and To Do sections!
