Journal Inspiration: Stacie Rife

Last month, I had the chance to visit my friend Stacie Rife who lives outside Seattle. We were working on getting her site back up so she can start blogging again. This is great news because Stacie is very talented. She paints, makes jewelry and art journals. 

While I was there, I snapped some iPhone photos of some of her amazing journal pages and wanted to share them with you. 

We even had a chance to work on our journals together, and it was interesting watching her work, compared to how work. So interesting that I wrote my monthly journaling coloumn about it (you can always see what I am writing about HERE).

Oh, How I Love the Seaside

I am off to visit my parents in sunny florida for the week - I cannot wait to dip my feet into the ocean... so I wanted to share my love of the beach with you while I was there.

I love, love, love the seaside. I have a vintage beach board on pinterest that I just love to look at. The old swimsuits were great (well, to look at, I would hate to be weighted down with them in the sun or water nowadays!)

I also love swimming - I was swimming before I could walk, so when I stumbled upon this vintage medal on etsy, I had to get it. I plan to use it for a necklace that I hope to convince my sweet friend to help me create.

I feel in love with this vintage 'Atlantic City Couple' made by The Vintage Sister Studio the moment I first saw them, and commissioned her to create a similar couple that now resides on a shelf in my house next to an old swimming trophy cup.

And here is a recent trip to Long Island, where Danielle always takes me to the water. I honestly feel a loss when I am far from it for too long.

Look at this collection of fun vintage beach photos, print and tintype- I plan on framing them and hanging them in the house, but in the meantime I am always on the look out for more.

Inspiration

I am feeling a bit under the weather today - I had been fighting off a cold that finally caught up to me last night, so I am taking a break from sharing my DD/reverb10 journal (I am still working in it, but will get today's photos taken and posted, hopefully, tomorrow).
