This post documents a journal spread I started in my Travelers Notebook. Usually I do a full spread in a sitting, but this one was big and deep, so I spent my time on it. I shared some of these photos as the spread progressed on instagram, but wanted to do a blog post with them all, from start to finish. This post, and all the photos, were put together and taken over a weeks time.

I started reading this book and it focused a lot on fear, I did not follow the daily steps, and was not completely sold on everything I read, but did get some gems, like what I wrote above with the mirror image I used.

Above I used 4 copies of vintage photobooth photos of myself, and here is where I made a list of all my fears. I broke them down into 4 sections based off how much they affect me. I blurred them out in the photo since they are very raw and I am not ready to share them yet.

Inside I added a vintage glassine envelope where I planned to write out a bit about my biggest fears.

I also dug out two ladies from my collection each facing a different direction and had the idea to put one facing my fears, and one turning my back on them (and I ended up writing about each further down).

Here is a close up. the "do the opposite of what your fear is telling you to do" is a truth bomb card that I cut down to size.

I did a little work on the front of my subpage/flap next. I added a photo of me in the light to remind me to see light instead of fear. And the words "Heart Energy" since I put so much into my fears, with a note that there are better ways to use that energy.

I also added more text about facing and turning my back on my fears. And finally did the hard work of journaling about my biggest fears for the glassine envelope. I thought it was fitting that if you look closely at the envelope you can see my words (fears) through it, just like if anyone were to take a close look at me, they would see my fears though my mask.

Here is a close another up. You can see I also added a torn vintage dennisons label that I typed "love is" on...

I added another vintage vocab card under love is... because to me love is bright and light!

Above the mirror image and quote, I used these amazing gold alphabet stickers that Midori makes (so in love with them. I already reordered 2 more sets!) to spell out "see my Truth.

I ended up doing some journaling and hand lettering to finish up the spread...

And I decided to end the spread with my biggest wish my fears are holding me back from... sharing my love and light with others.

Here is a quick video of the spread I posted on instagram:

That's it! I hope you enjoyed seeing this spread evolve! Check out my other recent evolution of a spread HERE.
